Action Line: Sales tax applications with coupons confusing
QUESTION ? We are wondering why Shop n Save receipts show city tax charges of 3.46 percent on groceries, but the amount really charged is higher than that percentage. It seems like they actually are charging tax on the original price for items instead of the (coupon-reduced) sale price.
