Small firms eligible for Tepco discounts
Tepco will reward power-saving efforts by smaller businesses this summer with electricity discounts to reduce their additional financial burden from a planned rate hike April 1. Tokyo Electric Power Co.'s announcement Monday of three types of discount plans comes amid an outcry from large-lot corporate users, whose power bills will spike by an average 17 percent from April.
