City intends gradual changes to age-based transit discounts
Seniors won?t be jolted by sharply higher transit costs as the city shifts further away from age-based discounts, planners told councillors Tuesday. After keeping the seniors? annual pass at $35 for 16 years, council has hiked the rate to $95 since 2011 ? an unusually steep increase rate for any civic fee.
