Hometown discounts don't come about often in pro sports

Most players aren't willing to sign for less money with their hometown team or an organization they have been with for years. But there are exceptions, as the Angels' Jered Weaver proved this year. Based on his many conversations with Matt Kemp, agent Dave Stewart said he has a clear idea of what his client is looking for in a long-term deal.
